Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2020
Hometown: West Babylon , NY
I would have to say my favorite memory as a Johnny being the trip to the tenement museum for dny class that I took as a freshman. This was just one of the various different trips that we took in this class. It was interesting to see the museum because it showed how the families used to have to live. Also, it makes you realize how lucky you are to live how you do. I also believe that this class helped me to travel easily throughout the city as well.
I think since becoming a Johnny I have changed tremendously. Before being at SJU I was a very quiet and shy person. I think that I have grown since coming to SJU. They teach you the skils that you need to become successful, a leader and a overall better person.
SJU is different then other schools beacuse of our campus. SJU is such a diverse campus. With all the diveersity through out the campus you are able to learn new cultures from some of your peers. Also, since the campus is so diverse there is a place for everyone at SJU. I think one of the main differences would have to be based on the location of SJU. Unlike many other city based schools SJU has a full campus. Most city schools are just made up of many different buildings on various streets. SJU gives you the college feel through the campus while also having the learning and job opportunities of the city!
I chose SJU because of all the opportunities that the university had to offer as a whole, there was so much opportunity to become successful. When I first applied to college I was undecided when it came to picking a major. So I thought that SJu would be great being that there were so many different majors which I could potentially want to do! Also my tour at SJU made me fall in love with the school. I saw myself at SJU.
