I chose SJU for the Speech Pathology program, the Ozanam Scholars Program, and the endless opportunities. With New York City in our backyard and the whole world at our fingertips, I can't imagine a better place to spend my college years.
SJU is different because of it's welcoming environment. With students from all walks of life, the St. John's community embraces all of our differences and celebrates them. It is awesome getting to hear people's amazing experiences and learn from their unique perspective on the world. I love that at SJU, everyone is welcome, no matter what.
My favorite memory at St. John's is getting a role in my first ever show. I have always had a love for theater but usually stayed behind the scenes. After working tech for my first show at St. John's, I felt so supported by the cast and crew that I stepped out of my comfort zone and actually auditioned for the next show! It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
In my time at St. John's, I have seen myself grow into a more open person, who stops to understand other perspectives, as well as challenge my own. With the loving St. John's community surrounding me, I continue to explore my passions and experience new perspectives.
