Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2021
Hometown: South Richmond Hill, NY
During my time at St. John’s I have been more outgoing and confident in myself as well as my actions.
I chose St. John’s because I knew I would thrive there. From the home-like feel of the campus to the generous scholarship I was fortunate enough to receive, as well as the variety of opportunities SJU could offer me, I knew it was the best fit for me.
What makes St. John’s different is how much it feels like a home. There are resources for everything and always people who are willing to assist you with what you need help with.
My favorite memory at St. John’s would be when my best friend and I went on a hunt to find the Red Storm Diner. It was an absolutely beautiful night on campus because the Christmas lights were in the trees, and we had just finished finals so we were finally relaxed and ready to enjoy Winter break. We went on a hunt to find the Red Storm Diner because we had always heard about it, but never knew exactly where it was. It may seem so stupid and trivial, but for some reason in that moment we just had to find it. So we ended up just walking around, playing music, and when we finally found that diner in the back of St. Vincent’s Hall it was as if we found the promise land.
