Why did you choose SJU?

I chose SJU because it was very welcoming. Being a commuter, I was always afraid that I wouldn't have the chance to be fully involved in the various opportunities offered in SJU. But experiencing Accepted Students Day really took my breath away! The reason why is that SJU focuses on the academics and social life of both commuters and for those who reside on campus!

How have you changed since becoming a Johnny?

In high school, I was outgoing , but to a certain extent. I went through elementary , middle school and high school with the same group of best friends. Coming to college, I was able to venture out and create friendships with peers that share the same major and goals I have! Even though most of my friends do attend SJU, we were able to come out of our comfort zone and create memories that will truly last forever!

What makes SJU different?

SJU is different because it heavily focuses on the academics and social life of its students! There are many opportunities offered for students to excel academically and to excel in their future! It also gives many opportunities for students to have pride in their school! TipOff and Winter Carnival are just a couple of many events set on campus that gives both commuters and students who reside on campus a chance to show pride for their school, and to have fun with their peers!

What's your favorite memory as a Johnny?

My favorite memory as a Johnny would have to be the end of my freshman year; the Spring Carnival. The reason why is that looking across the Great Lawn and seeing the various activities, from the Ferris Wheel to a Life-Size Photo Booth, felt like I was on a set for a movie! It was nice to see SJU students get together and celebrate a completion of a year in college!
