Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2021
Hometown: Wading River, NY
Major: Childhood Education
My favorite memory as a Johnny is the first night of my first semester as a freshman. I was so nervous and excited at the same time, and that very night I made so many friends that I love and continue to hang out with now. It was so reassuring for me that I was going to have a great time at St. John's.
I chose St. John's because from the second I stepped on campus, I felt like I belonged here. St. John's is full of so many wonderful opportunities in every single category. Everyone on campus is so warm and welcoming. The education department, the study abroad programs, and the close location to the city made me want to come to SJU more than anything.
I have only grown since becoming a Johnny. I have become more open minded and have made so many new friends since I have been here. In addition to this, I have become more outgoing and willing to try new things and to get involved. I have put my studies first but have also made the most of each day which I think is extremely important.
St. John's is different because it is one of the most diverse schools there is. This is an extreme advantage to each of St. John's students because they are able to meet new people from all different cultures, backgrounds, and religions. I love having a campus where each person is different and has different stories to tell.
