Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2019
Hometown: New York
Major: Biology and Minor in Psychology
Something that makes St. John's University different from any other school is the diversity that is offered. Personally, I come from a very diverse background. I wanted school that would offer people from different parts of not only the country, but also the world. This makes our campus and overall college experience more worldly, and so the exposure to new ideas and cultures is much greater!
There are many reason why I chose St. John's University, but one of the main reasons is the programs and opportunities that are offered right on campus! Depending on your interest and major, there are certain programs that will be offered to you.
Since becoming a Johnny, I have gained so many experiences that I have longed for a very long time. My dreams of doing research with my professor and landing a position at a hospital, have been some of the goals that I have accomplished since becoming a Johnny. St. John's career advisors have really been a great help. Whether its been working on my resume and preparing me for opportunities, or showing me different career options, my insight for the future has increased! I have been able to accomplish many of my goals within the first year!
One of my favorite memories as a Johnny would be the Spring Carnival! I can remember clearly my first Spring Carnival. It was right before finals, and so it was an awesome way to distress and have some fun. My friends and I went on all the rides, and we even tried eating everything that there was to offer! It was definitely a moment to remember!
