Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2019
Hometown: Bay Shore, NY
Since becoming a Johnny, so much has changed, especially myself as a person. I find myself to be more outgoing, trying new things, open to new ideas, and being more adventurous. Being so close to Manhattan has turned me into an explorer, seeing things, that as a New York native, I have never seen. St. John's has really allowed me to find myself.
I have created so many memories as a Johnny in the last three years! My favorite memory has been studying abroad! St. John's has an amazing Study Abroad Program, and I am so thankful I got to participate in it. I had to opportunity to travel the world with friends, all while making new friends, and seeing things that I had only seen in history books. There are too many memories to pick just one!
St. John's is a very large school. I had visited other schools, some the same size, some bigger, some smaller. At no other campus did I get this feeling of family and belonging. Although St. John's has such a large student population, there is always a sense of belonging, which I think is hard to find at other schools.
I chose SJU because I was looking for a school that was close to New York City, that had a lot of diversity, but also felt like home. St. John's offered me that, and so much more!
