Class of 2020
Hometown: Silver Spring , MD
I decided to come to St John's because it felt like home. The first day, I walked on campus, it didn't feel like this was just an old school learning institution but a family. All trying to figure out this game called life, together. Together by helping each other inside and outside the classroom. Something that I never take for granted, here at St John's and something that really makes me proud to be a Johnny.
Since becoming a Johnny, I would say I've became more independent and found out who I am really am inside and outside of the classroom. SJU offers various clubs and activities that really allow you to discover what your passionate about. All you have to do is step out your comfort zone and take full advantage.of it.
Favorite memory would have to be Tip-Off. Its a time, when we all get to together and forget about long essays, homework, and studying; to party and just celebrate with one another. There's musical guest, various prizes, and tons of school spirit. Its a can't miss event.
The diversity here really puts SJU in a class of its own. Everyday you get the pleasure of meeting various nationalities and cultures, that gives you a small taste to what this world really has to offer. In addition, to the faculty, who actually put their blood, sweat, and tears into actually providing the best possible educational experience for the student really makes SJU stand out among others.
