Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2020
Hometown: North Branford, CT
My favorite memory as a Johnny is meeting with my freshman advisor for the first time. Talking to him made me feel like I was at home, and that is when I was positive I had made the right college decision.
What makes St. John's different is the opportunity. Being on such a large campus, so close to the city, you can never run out of things to do or people to meet. I see new people everyday and have new experiences every week, whether it be in Manhattan or in Career Services.
Since becoming a Johnny, I have become open and welcoming to all people. I didn't see myself as an outgoing person in high school, but now that I am here, I want to talk to everyone! We have students from all over the globe and getting to know them and their culture is exciting.
I chose St. John's because of the school spirit. Out of every school I visited, this school stood out the most in terms of friendly and welcoming students, school pride, and unity. I felt included the second I stepped onto campus, and I could see myself as a Johnny.
