Class of 2021
Hometown: Wantagh, NY
Major: Legal Studies
Minor: Government and Politics
St. John's is different from other schools because of how warm and welcoming its students are. Everywhere you go, you see the smiling faces of your peers and it makes you realize that no matter where you are on campus, you have friends all around you.
Since becoming a Johnny, I have become more independent, more prepared to take on the "real world" of jobs and internships, and more educated when it comes to other cultures and religions.
My favorite memory as a Johnny was finding out that I got the Student Ambassador job. I was surrounded by a bunch of my closest friends, so when I got the email saying "Congratulations on your acceptance into the Student Ambassador Program!", I felt so much love and support from the people that I care about the most that I met at St. John's.
I chose St. John's primarily because of it's proximity to my home on Long Island and New York City and the amazing reputation its Legal Studies program has, but several other factors played into why I chose St. John's, one of which being the experience I had with my student ambassador at an overnight shadow event. Participating in this event as a shadow helped me see firsthand what it was like to be a Johnny and what it was like to attend classes at St. John's. This event made me feel at home at St. John's and realize that St. John's should be where I spend my college years.
