Tour Guide at St. John's University

Class of 2020

Hometown: Farmingdale, NY

Major: Psychology

Why did you choose SJU?

I chose St. John's because of the amazing opportunities the school has to offer. There are so many facilities able to help you expand your knowledge and help you find a job. It was close to home and a perfect location with the city right next door. When I came to visit I met so many people that told me all of the amazing programs here for my major as well as community service activities.

What's your favorite memory as a Johnny?

My favorite memory as a Johnny was, performing with the dance team at Tipoff. It was such an amazing experience to dance in front of thousands of people and get the crowd excited for basketball season!

What makes SJU different?

What makes St. John's different is how hands on it is. There are so many clubs and programs you can get involved in and ways to make new friends. The professors and faculty are always there to help you with anything and everything. You will be able to experience new things and places. It's location also makes it different because you can go off campus and explore NYC. Also since our school is one of the top 5 most diverse schools in the country, I am able to learn about new cultures and experience meeting people I usually would not meet!

How have you changed since becoming a Johnny?

Since becoming a Johnny I have become more well-rounded, I have become more accepting to change and differences. I have learned to get out of my comfort zone and try new things and explore different places.
