I fell in love with St. John's the second I stepped on campus. The energy from the students was indescribable. Upon visiting, the students had a genuine love for this university.
Since becoming a Johnny I have discovered passions that I never would have thought I would enjoy. I am fully immersed in my education while also being able to balance various extra curricular activities.
St. John's treats me like I am part of a family not just a number at a university. It is also one of the very few universities in New York City with dorms on campus, next to all of the academic buildings and beautiful landscaping. The residence village has really become my home, which I think really completes the college experience. It is also such a diverse campus, I learn something new from my peers everyday.
My favorite memory as a Johnny is the first time it snowed my freshman year. Since we were snowed in, my entire suite and I ordered pizza and played card games and really got to know each other. We also built a huge snowman and had a snowball fight that lasted forever. Being from Southern California, playing in the snow with my best friends is a very rare thing for me.
