I loved all of DNY - specifically when my professor gave each student a MetroCard and told us to explore the HighLine one day, on our own, for an assignment. My friend and I went together and we ended up there for hours, looking at art, the view, and the architecture. After that, we explored that area of the city and went home. Days and nights like those, where I lose track of time because I am just in awe of the opportunities I have, are the most incredible experiences for me at SJU.
SJU felt like home the minute that I stepped onto campus. The energy, the scenery, the resources available, and the people were amazing and I just knew that it was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life.
Not only does SJU have incredible diversity, but the school is really focused on not just placing you in a career, but making you into a better person and discovering yourself. With all of the volunteer and internship opportunities, SJU is really a place for personal growth.
I have had so much personal growth in my time as a Johnny - I have learned so much from the people that I have met. While all of the resources have been immensely helpful, the students have had a powerful effect on me and my whole thought process. Being a Johnny has opened my eyes further to the world around me and made me take opportunities that I had never imagined possible before.
