Rather than narrowing down all of the memories that I have made throughout my journey thus far, to one moment, I think I would like to talk about how I have made many life lasting memories. My favorite memory as a Johnny is not one event but all of the occasions in which I have made life lasting friendships as well as knowing that there will be more to come with the people whom I share my time with here.
St. John's was the choice for me because I wanted a city school with a campus rather than the city being my campus. Since I am a Homeland Security Major, this school was one of the best for me. The major key that sold me was the fact that this school was metropolitan and just the right distance from home.
Since becoming a Johnny I have become more organized both in school but in my everyday life. I felt coming into St. John's that I was mature but since being here I have seen how much I have changed and notice how much more planned my everyday life is. Now I never go anywhere without having a plan and being prepared.
Once I was here on my tour, the campus instantly felt like home. I had visited many other school prior but SJU but when I was here I was welcomes with open arms and it actually felt genuine. I could tell that this community was a family. This sense of family throughout the campus made SJU feel even more like home.
