Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2019
Hometown: Bethpage , NY
Since becoming a Johnny I have become more involved in volunteer work and helping out within our community. St. John's has offered me volunteer opportunities at homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and hospitals. Through these experiences I have learned the importance of giving back to those in need.
My favorite memory as a Johnny would be the 2016 Tip Off. Being in a sold out Carnesecca Arena with other students, while enjoying our campus community was an amazing feeling. That night we felt the campus come together while alumni J Cole made an appearance, enjoyed musical performances, and kicked off the basketball Season. This memory is one I will have for years to come, even after I graduate from St. John's.
What makes St. John's different then other schools is how diverse our students are. You are always surrounded by individuals who come from all different states, countries, religions, and backgrounds. It makes your time at St. John's more interesting, and prepares you for connecting with individuals in the real world.
I chose SJU because I loved the fact that we had an actual campus but were located in the city. The campus has a large student body, but still feels like a close knit community.
