Since becoming a Johnny I think I have developed a greater work ethic. Walking through campus and seeing the NYC skyline is unbelievably motivational, having a Career Services Center with such an outstanding network is a blessing, and having professors who know me by name and work with me is encouraging. With the resources SJU provides for me I am more confident in reaching the goals I have set for myself. I am grateful to have a University that continually challenges me to become a greater student in the classroom and volunteer in service.
My favorite memory as a Johnny was my first Accepted Students Day as a Student Ambassador. Accepted Students day was the reason I chose SJU. The impression the faculty and students gave to me that day was true happiness and passion about this University. At ASD as an Ambassador I felt like I was able to share the feeling that I had that day just a year earlier.
What sets SJU apart from other colleges would be the family feel here. Going to a school the size of this one allows the students to become a close-knit community.
I chose SJU because the feeling I had when I walked onto campus for my Accepted Students Day was like none other. No other University or campus gave me the feeling SJU did. I was instantly able to envision a future here. Choosing SJU was the best decision I have ever made for myself. The friendships, memories, and educational opportunities I have had as a second year student are unimaginable.
