Class of 2018
Hometown: Bronx, NY
SJU has really small class sizes compared to most of the other schools in NYC. We represent the Vincentian mission which really makes you more involved with volunteering and helping those in need. The students and professors alike really want to help you succeed and perform to the best of your ability.
The basketball games are my favorite moments as a Johnny. I love the passion the students and even alumni show towards our team. The MSG games are my favorite because of the intensity the crowd shows throughout the games.
I've been more conscious about my future and being a Johnny has really made me realize that success is possible. I've also been more into volunteering not because I have but because I want to.
I chose SJU for multiple reasons. When I first came on campus for a tour, I immediately fell in love with how beautiful it was. The people that I met during the shadow day were really friendly. When I saw how small the class sizes were it really made me feel that I would be able to be connect with professors better. There were so many activities/clubs on campus to choose from and I knew i'd always have something to do. The campus was medium sized which I really wanted. There are D1 sports. Everything fit my criteria of my ideal school.
