Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2022
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
I chose St. John's University because I wanted to find the right balance between being close to home and just far enough. St. John's happens to be right in the middle, which made it perfect for me. As soon as I took my first few steps on campus I knew this would be my second home. St. John's is not only a diverse school but they are welcoming; even simply down to the teachers.
I have definitely become more social. Social life was something that I did struggle with due to my major and being a commuter. Being at St. John's has definitely changed that because we are opened so many opportunities including organizations and clubs around campus. There is simply always something to do, there is always a way to get involved!
My favorite memory about St. John's would just have to be hanging with my friends and my first year attending Tip off.
St. John's University is very different compared to other colleges. For one St. John's campus doesn't even feel like a college that has city life so nearby. Its campus makes students including myself feel like I am upstate in a different region. Secondly, St. John's Study Abroad program is beyond me. Being able to visit so many countries, cities, and places for not a lot of money is a plus.
