Tour Guide at St. John's University
Class of 2019
Hometown: Las Vegas, NV
The thing I love most about St. John's is that it is so culturally diverse. You see people of all different races and religions everywhere on campus. You don't always get to see that at every school. SJU has really made more culturally open-minded and I think that is one of the best things that St. John's has taught me.
My freshman year is definitely one of the years I'll remember forever. My favorite memory in particular was when my suite mates and I were stuck in our suite during a blizzard. There were card games, hot chocolate, and lots of laughs. This was the first time that all of us had come together and had actually hung out; this is the first time, I'd say, we became a family.
The people at St. John's is what makes this university so different from others. Everyone is always smiling and I feel very welcomed whenever I am on campus. SJU has always made me feel like part of a family and I know wherever I go, I'll always find home in a Johnny.
I chose SJU because it was important for me to find a school with a great study abroad program. Traveling is one of my passions, so when I had researched St. John's and seen all the many opportunities it would give me to study abroad the way I'd like to, I immediately knew this school was for me.
